DONNA IONA DROZDA
- My mission as a visual artist is to share the awareness that we feel better when we express feelings on paper, canvas or even by drawing in the sand at low tide! I take great delight in living simply and close to nature. I love to share a disciplined focus and a clear intent. My artist in the community goal is to assist others in diving deeply into physical, emotional and spiritual zones where true creative joy resides.

Earth Tones Images
- Welcome to Earth Tones Images!
We've been having quite a bit of snow here in Colorado making for great winter opportunities but spring is finally creeping in. Soon we'll be crawling around looking for great flower images and catching torrential streams full of run-off from all the snow. I have added a 'Recent' gallery for things I've been doing lately so take a look. Thanks to all of you who've supported Earth Tones Images this past year. Your comments have been great and I appreciate them all. Keep 'em coming in 2008 and check back to see what's new!
Earth Tones Images is Colorado-based photographer John Dwyer. I have been a professional historian spending a great deal of time researching in interesting places, always with my camera in tow. I still travel, although not as frequently in my current career. Living in Colorado provides ample opportunity for beautiful images and I look forward to the chances I get.
I especially enjoy photographing landscapes and wildlife. I'm also interested in photographing historical subjects and meteorological phenomena. As a photographer, I love being out in nature, and then finding ways of communicating the scene through the camera. As a viewer of my images, I hope the images can give you the sense of being there.
The photos have been captured from many places in the U.S., Canada, the British Isles and New Zealand. There are so many very fine photographers with stunning web sites so thank you for taking time to view this one.

ex entropy fractal designs
- The name ex entropy can be loosely interpreted to mean "out of chaos", or "from disorder". It is a reference to chaos theory and the mathematics of complexity, the realm of mathematical and physical reality in which reside fractal geometry and the fractal universe. The geometry of fractals underlies the natural world, and the inherent beauty of the patterns and structures seen in fractals are evocative of those found in nature - in, for example, the characteristically self-similar patterns and forms of leaves and flowers, snowflakes, mountains, clouds, and river networks.
In recent years, due to advances in computer technology, it has become possible to give visual expression to these previously unseen, infinitely complex and beautiful mathematical entities. Powerful software such as Ultra Fractal has made it possible to create images from fractal formulae, applying coloring and other mathematical algorithms to the underlying fractal forms to create the work seen in the growing field of fractal art. A good starting point to further explore fractals and fractal art is the Infinite Fractal Loop.
For me, fractal images are the point where art and science meet, the perfect synthesis of the two which had previously eluded me.

fractalus
- Once upon a time, a fractal artist put up a web site.
Years ago, this web site started out as a small gallery and personal site for just one person. But it's grown considerably since then, both in the amount of content hosted and the number of visitors who come to see it. We're glad you came to visit, and we're a also little bit shocked that you actually visited this page, because almost nobody does.
fractalus.com exists to showcase fractal art, provide information about fractals, and promote fractals in general. We (the artists who build and maintain this site) want to show you our very best; we create this art because we love to do it.

Freeman Patterson
- Every artist is, first of all, a craftperson thoroughly knowledgeable about the materials, tools, and techniques of his or her particular medium and skilled in using many of them.
However, in my view, no amount of technical knowledge and competence is, of itself, sufficient to make a craftperson into an artist. That requires caring -- passionate caring about ultimate things. For me there is a close connection between art and religion in the sense that both are concerned about questions of meaning -- if not about the meaning of existence generally, then certainly about the meaning of one's individual life and how a person relates to his or her total community/environment. This is not to say that every work of art is or should be a heavily profound statement, indeed many may be very light-hearted, but rather that consciously and unconsciously an artist engaged in serious work is always raising or dealing with the question: "What really matters?"

James Nicholls Photography
- My life has been devoted to exploring and observing the sacred and the profane in ordinary lives and places, in places of conflict and calm. I find these images everywhere - in Bosnia, the Holy Land, and Sudan, a man rushing along the Seine, a quiet grove of trees along a highway, a staircase ascending to the heavens, a narrow opening of a doorway suggesting more, or water and sky as a place of joining. These images encourage wonder and challenge our carefully protected claims to space and time. Light has been the common element for me. I have been a student of poetry, philosophy, psychology, music and theology all my life. It is the light of the sun, of understanding, inner glow, and connection. I believe that the search is part of our nature and so we go in search of what is beyond. There is the mystery of the search and there is the hope of connection. Ultimately, the images, food for our travel, will find a home in those who welcome them.

Louvre Museum
- The principle responsibility of the Louvre is to conserve, protect, restore, and develop France's national art treasures, from the early royal collections to the most recent acquisitions. In carrying out this task, the museum’s scientific and academic staff displays steadfast commitment and universally recognized professionalism.
The priceless artworks housed in the Louvre are held for the benefit of present and future generations. Hence the vital importance of the museum's mission to make these works available to the greatest number of people possible, from France and all over the world. To do this, it is our job to ensure that every visitor enjoys the best facilities possible. But it is also essential to promote cultural access: to do as much as we can to help each visitor to approach, understand, and enjoy the works they have come to see. With this in mind, we are committed to extend the range of information available at the Louvre in languages other than French, to further develop the museum's wide range of educational resources and activities, and to make our buildings and collections more easily accessible—in every sense—to people with disabilities and to new audiences.

Love-Peace-Happiness
- "My greatest desire is to offer my whole heart, soul, mind and strength to honor and worship God and to be mightily used to declare his glory through my paintings."
Satoshi Matsuyama
I compose my image putting them together with 300 of photographs which was taken by myself with digital camera, and painting many things there on my mac with Wacom tablet pens.
Each data on Photoshop CS3 is 30 to 60GB, when I'm working with them on my Mac driving controlled by SoftRaid 3.51 with 6 disks of ultra 320 SCSI array.
Printed more clear than the photography by 44 inches with "Digital Fine Arts Prints", the model developed for "Fine Art", on pure canvases.
My large formatted over 80 inches long printable .psb data (can not in tiff) is almost 5 to 7GB in 350 ppi resolution each works.
These images can not possibly be viewed on a computer screen.
It is imperative that these works be displayed on the walls of real galleries around the world, for all to see.
To truly understand the messages from our Creator these works must be viewed with the naked eye.
I think that If there is even an intention referred to as wanting to express,it will fulfill a Photoshop in the form which is in sight as a "Digital Fine Arts Prints"
That is a great gift for us living in today, no need to graduate art courage or education of photo technique.
We can make the impossible dream possible by this great digital technology.
I think that the possibility of this wonderful technology is the right currently equally gifted to all the people in the world, every tribe and tongue and people and nation, for their peace and happiness.
